Autumn pinecones

It's lovely to see all the pine cones sitting on the dead 'autumn' coloured pine needles, under our pine trees. The trouble with the pine needles is that they smother the grass underneath, which of course dies. But that's nature.

The highlight of my day was finding out this afternoon that I had won a $100 note in the local rugby club raffle! What a bonus!
