Busy Bee

I popped out to the supermarket this morning and bent down to photograph some flowers on the way when this buzzy little chap made an appearance. He was only pausing for a second on each flower so I was lucky to get him and I love how orangey/yellow his face and his cummerbund are and how those black round eyes pop out.

In June I am going to a talk called "Bees are on their knees" about their declining numbers, I think it will be very interesting. I can't imagine a world without bees!
