Acer between showers

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my furry, buzzy bee, you put him into the spotlight and I was absolutely delighted.

Today, I was taking pictures of this beautiful Japenese Acer tree today when the showers started. It's actually a red tree (Red Dragon I think) and I was initially going for a colour shot. I took shelter during the rain and then popped back to see how it looked with the rain drops on the leaves. Then playing around with mono I decided I liked the metallic look with the molten drops on the serrated edged leaves. Maybe a colour shot later in the week.
