Fish Street, Shrewsbury

I went to Shrewsbury for some shopping today. I have to admit that I purchased more than I went for!

This is Fish Street, a lovely cobbled street, so called because it was the site of the medieval fish market.

The church with the steeple is St. Alkmund's, founded around the year 9oo. It is still a live Anglican church.
The church in the foreground is St. Julian's founded in Saxon times but much has been rebuilt. It is now an Evangelical Church.
