Flood water, Kennebecasis

Day 12, Hampton New Brunswick: The morning after...I was up quite late the night before with family and some of L's friends, stayed up with my other brother P till the wee hours. I felt like I needed a walk to clear my head and get some fresh air. It was a bit of a grey blah day so unfortunately the lighting in this photo is a bit flat. L and his wife live a a pretty rural area along the Kennebecasis river, I had noticed the day before that the river was very high and many of the small islands were submerged under water. I hiked down a farmers field to the edge of the water to get a shot of these trees which I could see were now part of the river. It was actually quite an eerie place, maybe it was the weather...I was happy to leave. Later on that evening back in Moncton we had dinner with P for his birthday as well as a visit from a friend of my sisters. It was a relaxing evening of tea and chat...a wonderful weekend!
