Happy Day

Pictured together, here are two of today's gifts that lifted my spirits and kept me smiling - my furry running buddy and those still-blooming daffodils.

A trail run this morning with my sweet pup, who bounded unleashed through the woods like a spring lamb AWOL from the barn. The sun drenched flowers, shouting out the explosive energy of this unfolding spring.

It's an ironically serene composition, since it was the pure vigor and liveliness of both my chipmunk-chasing dog and the forcefully blooming flowers that gave me such a rush of joy today!
