Holy voley!

I went out with my bird group this morning, having missed a couple of classes after my op.

We went to a local nature reserve and saw oodles of whitethroats and some sedge warbles and a few glimpses of a kingfisher.

As we headed back to the car park I lagged behind to take a few shots of a gosling .. and as I tried to catch up with the group I came across this beautiful water vole!

The rest of the group was not amused to have missed it!
