The meat trade
Another busy day in Yazd and with excursions to the deserted (apart from the odd tourist group scrambling through the ruins) mud brick village of Kharanq and the city of Meybod. A host of picturesque photographs to choose from and I selected this sight which I came across as we wandered through the back streets of central Yazd in the evening. I never found out what was going on. Was the man with the phone calling to say that he had purchased a good cut for the dinner or just texting a friend? I liked the contrast between the refrigerated carcass, the chubby man and the butcher trimming the head. It didn't put me off my dinner that night.
