Rose-breasted Grosbeak (male)

On the Rail Trail at Station Road (Amherst) this morning. Among other things, wonderful sightings of red-bellied woodpeckers at their nest hole, but those images didn't quite match this. (I wish it could have been lower; on the other hand I could have backed off; I did have a few seconds :)

Quite a number of warblers: common yellowthroats (again), American redstart, magnolia, yellow, chestnut-sided, black-and-white (links are to last year).
