Centaurea Cyanus

By the fence along the alley in the back of our house you will find at this time of year many irises and Centaurea Cyanus, also referred to most commonly as the cornflower, or bachelor's button. It is known as both a weed and an ornamental plant. Apparently it is endangered in some of its native habitats due to herbicides, but it grows abundantly in our environs.
