no worries
Today we said goodbye to Port Douglas, a sleepy little town in North Queensland where there is only one pace of life, no worries. We had an apartment, seen in large on the road to the right of Four Mile Beach above the white buildings. Walking on the beach before breakfast is something I will always remember. A short walk in the opposite direction and you are along the main street of boutique shops, bars and restaurants, leading to the harbour. No building is above the height of a palm tree.
On the harbour side is the most amazing small white wooden church with a clear glass window behind the alter, framing a view of the sea (I will try to put it in blipfolio later )
We would have been happy staying here forever for another week but this evening Nick went his own way to Melbourne to meet Steve his Godfather who emigrated when Nick was still a small boy (Steve's got a shock coming !!). Whilst we return to Brisbane to spend the weekend with Dan, after all we came to visit him.
