Eat St
Back in Brisbane and another exhausting but fun day spent with Dan and Lotty until she had to leave for work.
We travelled miles on foot and on river boats. During the day we went a long way upstream leaving behind the skyscrapers of CBD through the leafy suburbs and then past the 10+ million dollar houses to disembark at a sanctuary for koalas. It was a lovely hour boat ride and equally nice going back with the sun behind us.
Then this evening onto the citycat to go downstream to the cruise liner dock area and Eat St. A fantastic new concept that feels like pop up restaurants. It was like a big vibrant market with a great buzz of chat music and smells from aromatic cuisines from around Asia and Europe. Each kitchen being housed in old ships containers, mingled with other containers selling textiles and crafts. It made for a totally different eating experience and one that must catch on in other places.
Looking forward to a lie in the morning !
