Bert's House

Bert use to live in this house. He was a nice old man, kept to himself, and whom you only saw when he walked into town with his sugar sack to bring home his supplies. He died about 10 years ago, and the story goes when his house was cleaned out, lots of cash was found hidden in various parts of the house.

No one lives in the house now. It's condition has deteriorated over the years, although it wasn't in very good condition when Bert lived there. A man's home is his castle, and I suppose that's exactly what Bert thought of his home - it was his castle.

It's been a cool day today. The sun arrived a couple of times during the day, but really had no warmth in it. Winter is on its way.
