Prison Street
This is Rue de la Prison in Bargemon with the Musee des Machines a Ecrire on the left. If you've ever pounded one of those old typewriters that we had before modern electric typewriters and computers, you'll be interested to see these machines and the adding machines that they also have there. Apart from an extremely battered and ancient door (about 4ft 6 high) there's not much to be seen of the prison for which the most recent use was during the liberation in 1944. It doesn't say who was locked up so I don't know if it was Germans or drunks!
Pip and Bruno went back to Apt today as they have to return to work on Monday. It's great that we can stay on and enjoy their lovely house for another week.
Another lovely day today but that mistral blew up again around lunch time and took the heat out of it. I hope your day's been a good one.
