LEANING PINE TREE

After breakfast we walked to Boquer Valley. It was extremely hot in the sun. We managed to find a stone curlew among the rocky outcrops which we were quite pleased with. Booted eagles and Eleonora's falcons were flying overhead. We returned for a late lunch which we had with friends beside the pool at the hotel.

Later in the afternoon we did the pine walk which takes you around the bay at Puerto Pollensa. This pine tree is leaning so much it has had a buttress built to help support it. The buttress has actually penetrated the tree and the trunk is growing around it.
