The Futures So Bright... Happy New Year for 2010!
Right I am upholding one of my New Year resolutions by starting to do a blip journal as religiously as I can muster.
I began last year or even the year before, but clearly wasn't in the right headspace for it. It made me feel slightly self concious. I am not adhering to that anymore and will gladly post whatever comes into my mind from now on with, with no reservations.
I also have a secret (not the best kept one I admit, subterfuge not being my strongest quality) and this seems like a good outlet to talk about it for now until I can reveal it to all and sundry.
We are expecting our second baby, early days yet, hence the secret element, and I have just endured the most dull and nauseas (without the aid of copious amounts of alcohol) Christmas and New Year EVER. I am sure it will all be worth it though... This news does not come without its 'concerns' - a word my husband despises me uttering!
I would just like to say that although I said that Christmas was dull there were some fantastic highlights. Like my daughter Eve, in the sunnies, opening her presents with wonder and delight, until she actually got bored half-way through as opening presents became, somewhat, a 'chore'. Also getting to spend some quality time with my whole family without having to fit a week of playing/socialising into a weekend, as is usually the case as I work full-time.
So all in all, after the initial nauseating feeling of a) being pregnant and b) imagining the entire universe having the best time in the world without us, it's shaping up to be a very exciting year.
Now if everyone could stop having any kind of illicit fun until August, I would be most obliged...
