" I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING "
Today was one of those magical days!!
The weather this morning was glorious so after a leisurely start, (coffee in bed reading the local newspaper) we enjoyed eggs with toasted soldiers. We had decided to walk over to Monksilver, the next village nearer to the Brendan Hills, to The Notley Arms for lunch. The weather was perfect, bright but not too hot. This photo is taken from Escott, a small hamlet on the way with the Quantock Hills as a backdrop.
When we arrived at the pub, who should be in the garden but the charming lady we met yesterday in our village who viewed our house, (Please read yessterday's blip). We met her husband Dave and they came back and visited together and enjoyed our hospitality. He loved our home but sadly was determined to buy an older property. We swopped phone numbers and agreed to keep in touch.
We sat in the garden after they had left and remarked how it was amazing that we should meet them in this way. After enjoying the late afternoon sun, Pimms of course, we realised how our bodies were beginning to ache from the 4 mile walk.
Now it is after midnight and I am going to wish you all a peaceful nights rest. Thankyou for being a part of my journey. xx
