Old Skiils
With me not being any form af craftsman but having no choice I had to rebuild a part of the dry stone wall at the bottom of the garden where it had been knocked down when the new wall went up.
I had all the stone, had the hole where it had to rebuilt and then it went downhill from there. Hour upon hour of putting stones in and then taking them out went by until I had a semi reasonable end result. My hat goes off to the craftsmen who have built walls like mine and bigger all over the countryside and which still stand today. I wonder how long mine will stand up to the test of time.
Also how they managed to constantly lift these stones given how much even a small piece of granite weighs is another testament to the men who did it.I mean my muscles ached afterwards but they did it without the benefit of Ibuprofen.
