No wind in the willows
What a glorious day. Cloudless blue sky, barely a breath of wind and lovely warm sunshine. It gave my daughter a chance to sunbathe while spending the day revising for her next uni exam. Meanwhile for me a catch-up day of house and garden jobs satisfyingly achieved.
Some friends called round and Raoul the snake came out for a bit of sun basking, but it wasn't long before he dived for some shade - under a pair of denim shorts my daughter had left on the picnic table. He curled up under there and happily peeked out at us.
Late this afternoon I wandered to the end of the garden to enjoy the shade of the willow tree. We planted it as a little sapling when we first moved here. It's a bit bigger now!
