White wisteria
Drove to Somerset today to interview the owner of a remarkable car, with the highest mileage of any vehicle I have ever seen. It has been driven more than half a million miles, and still sails through its MOT every year!
His house was quite difficult to find down a very narrow lane, so I stopped to ask a friendly-looking farmer for advice. Hence for the last mile of the trip I followed a tractor right to my interviewee's front door.
I couldn't resist blipping this spectacular white wisteria adorning his neighbour's garage. The white variety is more tender and frost-prone than the more common mauvey-blue wisteria, as I know from having lost one a few years back in a particularly hard winter. The Somerset climate obviously suits this one just fine.
