Hill Top Ramblings

Floral pasture

We spend a lot of time grumbling about the shocking state of the pastures around here, fertilised and mowed for silage and devoid of wildlife.
However there is a little corner which I was admiring today, full of pig nut and speedwell, with orange tip butterflies flitting about. This is how olde England used to be, and I was glad to see that the Bumblebee Conservation Trust have convinced the people of Thurso in darkest Scotland that they would love to be Britain's first Bumblebee town!
Just think, if everyone had at least one bee friendly plant in their garden how much better a country this would bee!
