A SPANISH HOUSE

We caught a bus and went to the old town Pollenca. We had a look inside a small but opulent church in the main square. Then we walked up the 365 steps to Calvary where there was a little chapel that was dedicated to the memory of the crucifiction of Jesus. The idea behind the steps was that you were absolved of a sin for each step you climbed (one for each day of the year) This is a picture of one of the houses at the side of the steps.

Later that afternoon we walked the Boquer valley again. We had excellent views of blue rock thrush. We also met a former RSPB warden who had located a booted eagle's nest that contained chicks. We watched the parents bringing food to the chicks. We couldn't see the chicks but we could hear them.
A great day
