I was in Wales today (birding, as you ask) and on the coach on the way back we passed this lovely old land rover. I'm no expert, but I think this is a Series I 80" (built 1949-1954). It was chugging along beautifully, and I bet it's a lot easier to service than today's Chelsea tractor models! Apologies for picture quality - shot on phone through grimy window of bumpy coach!
