It Does Rain in the South of France

When we arrived yesterday in brilliant sunshine, it was hot enough that I regretted not having packed shorts and sandals. Today I was wearing my warmest clothes and regretting not bringing an umbrella!

Obviously it was not a good day for outdoor photography, though I did get a few photos on the way back from a short drive to Vieussan, a hamlet with a small restaurant whose claim to fame is a good selection of Belgian beer -- we remembered it from a previous visit. It was closed, as are many places on Mondays out of season. We dined at home on salad, bread, cheese, some of J's pickled figs, and chocolate.
