Enough...
... to make your skin crawl
More proof that I'm house sitting and looking after my parents place while they are away, another garden shot as I water the plants.
These little Caterpillars will not grow into beautiful butterflies but Sawflies which aren't so pretty.
Latin Name = Neodiprion sertifer
The European pine sawfly typically hatches from early April to late May. The larvae feeds off existing pine needles. When they mature, they spin into cocoons. in autumn, they leave their cocoons as a wasp-like creature and mate. September and October is when the female lays eggs in pine trees for the next generation.
I found at least 60 of them huddled on a single branch of pine, they weren't moving much but as soon as the flash fired they all simultaneously quickly lifted their heads and lowered slowly which was rather cute.
Thanks for looking
