Reflections
Our refurbished garden pond is already attracting plenty of wildlife. We always have large red damselflies in the garden, but this year we seem to have more than usual. Pete counted twenty-one individuals at the weekend, and I've seen at least eight pairs ovipositing in the pond at the same time. There isn't all that much vegetation for them to perch on yet, so they're forced to crowd together on the frogbit leaves, which look a bit worse for wear thanks to the snails.
