New girls on the block..
Chores done first thing, and then off to the Geopark meeting of Development groups. 3 hours later, it was good to get out into the heat of the day. It was interesting to hear what other groups in the area are doing, but it was probably the warmest day of the year too.. Too good to be stuck inside.
Home, and harvest some salads for J, and then potter in the poly-tunnel. More water, both doors wide open, and still too hot. Took the shelf down, to allow me to put the strings up for the toms and runner beans. Just waiting for the salads on the croft to grow a bit, before I can clear the remaining beds and plant my cucumbers and more beans.
Then went down the croft with a car load of pots to plant. Courgettes and pumpkins, and more brassicas.
I looked at last years pic, a split shot of mist and a bit clearer, and was going to do a repeat view to show the difference, but it was very bright and hazy. Thought I'd wait till later as the sun was setting. Then the haar came in, the temperature dropped 10 degrees in a few minutes, and made my shorts feel silly!! The hills opposite disappeared into the mist, almost the reverse of last years shot.
So here's a pic of the new girls instead!!
Music..
Inverness for 11 tomorrow to pick G up. Can't wait..
