Need salad!

Am away with Mr M in Scotland at the moment which involves far too much eating out with very little in the way of fruit and vegetables. Italian tonight with a bit of a Scottish twist.. I had a rather delicious black pudding ravioli followed by this warm chocolate brownie and a bit too much wine! Am craving salad!!

Had a very interesting discussion this evening with Mr M about Conchita Wurst.. The transgender singer who won Eurovision. We were analysing our reactions on seeing a glamorous woman with a beard. My reaction, probably triggered by the photographer in me, was 'what an interesting look!' Mr M's was much more interesting.. He felt that she was making a quite profound statement with her look .. That as a man who chooses who dress as a woman but may not look exactly as we would expect a woman to look, she should still be accepted, can still achieve amazing things and should be judged by what she does rather than how she conforms with what society sees as 'normal'.

..and that, Mr M, is just one if the many reasons why I love you.
