Another busy day, although a late start.

Slowly cycled up the path to Gorgie, then the canal and round the Meadows for a 1030 painting date.

She wanted to clear the living room for the onset of summer, and I finally got gloss on the bathroom woodwork - I had a flashback to doing something similar - pre Christmas? maybe fitting a towel rail? - me in the bathroom, and her doing something else - so it's been quite a few months of trying to get the time to do the work.

We headed for Tuk Tuk at around 2, and had a splendid food; couple of bottles of Shiraz. Proper date, kissed on the door step and left; I wandered around to see Paul who was trading; chatted about loads of stuff and had a shared moment of joy when we found out the Binos had somehow beaten East Fife to gain promotion (which will almost certainly lead to relegation next year, but hey...)

Left there around 7, slowly, unsteadily home and a quiet evening, chatting, reading. Slept soundly.
