Methodist Chapel - Ingbirchworth

Wikipedia lists four amenities for our little village, the chapel being one of them ( others to come in future blips...). It used to be the hub of the village, and it's topical this week as we used to vote there. The congregation aged and shrank ( literally as well as metaphorically ) until it was down to single figures, and though an attempt was made to keep it going as an amenity ( the WI met there, as did mum's & toddlers groups ) the decision was finally made to sell. You can see the blue sign in this shot - it is now up for auction, with planning permission, we think, to turn it into a pair of semis. One of the pubs went the same route, and is now a terrace of eight dwellings.
