He's leaving home (bye, bye)

Alfie was off on his year 6 residential trip today. He was very excited about it and couldn't wait to go and chat to his mates, no doubt comparing sweetly stashes for midnight feasts. It felt odd leaving him there but not as odd as the weird feeling in the house with him not here. I really can't wait for him to get back-it's way too quiet.

Great meeting this morning with Linton Youth Music to talk about plans for the midsummer picnic on June 21st. It's all coming together brilliantly!! So exciting!!
The only drawback is that it clashes with the Brownies weekend away so Poppy and lots of her friends will miss it but that's the problem with living in such a busy, thriving village!
