Large and Colourful!

This is one of my favourite times in my garden as many of the plants are very long established and are just bursting into colour. I particularly like this Pieris which was in the garden when we bought the house in 1979 and is now very tall- it is just about to develop its beautiful red colour.

The lilac is huge although in this part of the garden most of it is white - there is another lilac lilac if that is what you call them at the bottom of the garden.

Towering above them all is the Rowan tree which is not very colourful but superstition dictates it must not be cut down!

Not in view but close by are some lovely Acers , and Rhododendrons some of which were also in the garden when we moved in.
