Nearly made it!

It took me all night - base camp by the daisies, then the first climb on the leafy base. Stopped for supper before the assault on the stalk, and then the arête onto the poker flower. That part was tricky; no ropes involved, and difficult to get a decent hold. But by the morning I was about ready for the final assault on the summit when that huge man with a camera started taking pictures of me, and then picked me off and put me down yards and yards away! And after all I'd put in to the climb! It'll take me all day to get back to base camp but I'm not going to be put off; next attempt will be tomorrow night.......
