Bedford Milennium Bridge
I found out about a little Italian Deli in Bedford that imports fresh sausages, pastas etc. from Italy so thought I would give it a try. I wasn't disappointed; the owner couldn't have been more helpful. He told us all about the different sausages they had, and what he was expecting to get in the following week. They had all sorts of different pastas, cheeses, breads, meats, and even had fresh pizza dough in bags ready to be used. We then discovered a good cheese shop round the corner, which had its own 'cheese cave'; in reality, a small heavily air-conditioned back room where all the cheese was kept. So tonight's meal is definitely going to have an Italian feel to it.
On the way back I stopped at the Embankment and took a few pictures of the Millennium Bridge over the Ouse. The Embankment is a great place for a stroll on a summer's day; sadly, today was not really strolling weather.
