Littleman wanted to try out this idea he found on pinterest. Once the plants in the one container take root, you are supposed to be able to see the difference in the amount of soil that washes out when the two containers are watered. The whole point is to show how important it is to not strip the land of plants and trees. He had lots of fun with it :0)
