Wizard of Oz

Out early to visit the Wizard of Oz flower festival at Pickering Church. An amazing feat for local groups to co-ordinate. It is well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity over bank holiday weekend, especially if the weather does not pick up.

The story unfolds as you walk through the church. The Cowardly Lion is perched on top of some of the pews. A friend and I wondered if there were any weddings scheduled - could make for an interesting theme but what would the bride wear?

I did consider another collage but decided to cover the festival over the next few days instead.
