The Colours of South Canterbury

I've been down in South Canterbury today, having a nosey and catching up with the in-laws. It's been an interesting day....

On the way back from Timaru, we headed back through Levels Valley with it's great views over the rolling countryside out towards the Southern Alps.

I climbed the ladder up the side of a water tank to get this view over the freshly ploughed paddock. I really liked the patterns that led the eye across the different layers of colour.

Thanks for the stars and hearts for yesterday's Star Trails over the Old School House. Unfortunately I didn't quite make it to the Spotlight, but hey, it's the community love which counts, right?
