Fizzy Friday

After a great night with the girls last night I was very tired this morning and was late leaving for work so I missed my bus. If only I'd been a few minutes earlier I'd have made it, but it was just pulling off as I was coming down the hill. But instead of waiting for the next one I walked to the coast road where there are more buses and one came almost straight away, so I was still in town for 8.40am.

At lunch time I met Alison and Chrissy in the Old Steine Gardens for a sneaky glass of something cold, although when I got there I saw some of the other girls from the office , so it wasn't that sneaky. They invited me to sit with them but I said I was meeting friends, so we've said we'll probably go next week.

As this month is Brighton Fringe there's a temporary stage, and even the Moulin Rouge in the gardens with a bar and this little van selling bubbles and nibbles. I decided to have a glass of fizz and took this photo of the guy pouring it - Chrissy blipped me as you can see here.

Alan landed back at Heathrow this morning, and travelling in upper class he managed to sleep for most of the flight, so although he's tired he came to meet from work and Mick my boss let me leave early. We went back to the Old Steine but it was really busy and there was nowhere to sit, so we walked down to the beach and sat and had a drink in the sun before heading home.

Its the start of another 3 day weekend here in the UK - we're looking forward to having a nice relaxed weekend and don't really have anything planned, we'll just take it as it comes. I hope you have a good one whatever you're doing.
