Alan
Before we did anything today we went to the vets to pick up Louis' ashes. All week I was worried about Alan getting upset and wanted to go and pick them up before he got home from Miami. But it wasn't possible as they close at 6pm, so we had to go this morning. I felt nervous going as I didn't want to get upset, and I was fine while we sorted out the paperwork, but then they brought out what can only be described as a gift bag containing the box with his ashes. It was all very nicely done, but I felt that I'd come away with a nicely wrapped present, and I had a huge lump in my throat and started to cry. Anyway, he's back where he belongs and I guess I'd have cried however they handed him to me.
Then this afternoon we headed into town as we had a couple of things to do, but no sooner as we were on the bus, it started to rain and it was torrential! So when we got into town we decided to take refuge in a bar and have a drink in the hope that it stopped, which it did. The sun came out, and we ended up sitting out and having lunch and then carried on with what we set out to do.
It's lovely to have Alan home and we ended up have a really nice day together. I took this photo in the bar and I think it's one of the nicest I've ever taken of him, so it had to be my blip.
Happy weekend to you all!
Talking of Louis, have a look at my blip this time last year.
