Antique train and Stephen Hawking's hangout
Today was the third and final day of the Science-Policy Interface Workshop at the Balsillie School of International Affairs in Waterloo, ON (see last two day's blips). Across the street is the old Waterloo train station and museum and the tourist train for the Waterloo Central Railway which runs for a few kilometres to nearby St. Jacobs. In the background is the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. Physicist Stephen Hawking has a Chair there and a job where he spends some time in the summer.
