Roses...

The idea today was to work in the morning and then have a bit of a wander about with my camera in the afternoon. It didn't work out that away and by lunch there was a fully formed deluge going on. We abandoned the idea of the wander and headed home to watch 'El Cid' on TV with the stunning Sophia Loren (and a few others). It's a good film. Apparently Sophia Loren celebrated her 79th birthday this week and still looks a bit of a stunner.

However, watching the movie left me wondering what to do for a picture today. But the warm spring has brought everything on early and some roses were already in bloom in mid May. Here's a rather bedraggled looking one in the rain wishing it hadn't bothered.....
