I had a long, enjoyable day in Brighton today with my friend. We had lunch on the pier looking out at the grey clouds over the sea and sheltering from the rain. The sun kindly came out for us shortly after, so we had a walk along the promenade, Pimms outside a pub, another wander through the streets of Brighton, pizza and prosecco, then caught the train home, trying very hard to keep our eyes open so we didn't fall asleep, miss the London Bridge stop and end up in Bedford!
