Hang on!
The last play before bedtime. There is a great playground in this little town and it is perfect for letting off steam.
I had left the house early as had to be in work this morning and it takes about 75 minutes to drive back. I fitted in a gym session (just!) before so arrived ready for the full waiting room instead of yawning as usual. I got back for 2pm to a sleepy lounge full watching toy story 3. They'd had glorious sunshine and been for a favourite walk to the river. The Dads made their escape to watch some football and we went to the playground.
Ang took all the children to get an ice cream and I went up to the supermarket to get dinner. I had a bottle of prosecco and some wine at the beginning of the shopping on the belt. The smiley checkout guy was about 5 years older than me and apologised with the bottle in his hand saying he needed some i.d!!!!! I was totally stunned and said 'I'm 40 I stopped carrying i.d a long time ago' , he looked a bit dubious and I said ' I have an 8 year old daughter I promise I am old enough to drink the wine'. Then he said ok I feel a bit embarrassed now and i reassured him that he would be one of my favourite people this year!
It was all very relaxed in the evening and I really enjoyed having a full on faff around the kitchen making moussaka which Marcus mentioned he hadn't had in ages. Ang and I cracked open the prosecco again so obviously by the time we ate dinner it was the best moussaka ever!
