Carrowbeg.
This is the Carrowbeg River. Westport was built around it in 1760 as a planned town by the owner of the Big House for his workers and local tradesmen. The locals call it the Mall.
The weather , when we arrived, was bloody freezing. An Arctic North wind straight off the Atlantic. The Redhead had brought no warm clothing, so no outdoor shots except this one.
No shots of Croagh Patrick, No trips to Clew Bay, but a great time in this really friendly town.
