High ho! Madonna de saviore, Monte Castello, Mana
We started out really early today to avoid the crowds that may be on the paths. Large blip was taken just after 9am. I think the town below is Vernazza where we left the train.
Only 5 out of 27 walkers came on the D+ today, mainly due to the decent of 800m down into Manarola which you can see in the blip. Traversing the hills around the terraces was quite tricky (euphemism for dangerous) as there was nothing to stop you falling over the edge - you can just see the path on the opposite side of the terracing. The final drop down into the town took me ages as I hate going downhill. The guys were very understanding as I was the only female on this walk today and two of them had already a tumble - nothing bruised apart from pride.
The gull at the railway station wasn't fazed at all by the crowds waiting to catch the train.
