It's a stick-up!

Despite being an overcast day, it was a good one.

I met up with Katie Wylie and her family today; Katie and I used to teach together in Edinburgh, and is now married to Tom with 2 lovely girls called Tess and Monica.

Katie has also had her 15 minutes of fame in the past year. She won a ladies' bicycle road race, which was filmed for the BBC2 Adventure Show - The Bealach-nam-Ba Challenge

If anyone out there has travelled on the Bealach-nam-Ba road to Applecross, you will perhaps understand how impressive it is to cycle up that wee hill; I doubt that I could even walk up the thing.

Anyway, Katie and Tom's girls were quite shy with all these new adults around, but when they saw Dimairt, they started to throw the stick for him , and really lit up - laughing, squealing with joy, and mini-fighting about whose turn it was to throw it.

This photo shows Monica in the water, not caring about the wet jeans, or the fact that her sandals aren't waterproof. It is just important to get the stick in the air. Wheeeeee!!
