Aquilegia

These are such beautiful, delicate flowers. My favourite I think.

I used to grow them from seed but haven't done so for the past 3 years as I got very dispirited when they were eaten or trampled on by the puppies. Poppy would bite the heads off and walk all over the delicate seedlings. When Bud arrived they had such fun chasing each other round and round, I loved to watch them enjoying themselves so I waited.

This Spring nothing has been eaten and nothing knocked down. Peace and tranquility has returned to the garden. So in the Autumn I shall start sowing seeds again. It was worth the wait to preserve my sanity.
