Date day

Monday. Date days, they're a bit thin on the ground and this one took us by surprise cos we presumed that because we had a holiday, the school would have a holiday too.

But no. School was open. Nursery was open. We had a whole day to ourselves. With no small girls in tow.

We went into Edinburgh. We ate brunch. We watched the new x-men film (crikey that Michael Fassbender's a good lookin fella). We did shopping.

It was lovely.

Then later, on the way to the gym, the view over to Edinburgh and Fife was just beautiful with some excellent cloud action. All in all, a pretty good day.
