Sonora Desert Museum panorama , AZ

Up and to breakfast at a chicken and waffle joint. Egg, sausage gravy, chicken tenders atop a jumbo waffle infused with bacon bits and smothered in syrup - you only live once!

We then headed out over the mountains to the east of Tucson and visited the Sonora desert museum (blipped). Apparently ranked in the top 10 museums to visit in the world this museum recreates desert wildlife and flora and fauna in a series of exhibitions, exhibits and wildlife enclosures. We spent a couple of interesting (if very hot) hours seeing everything including mountain lions, bears, beavers and otters.

After returning home and packing we had a quick stop for supper at eegees for a sub and their famous ranch fries. Then dropped off at the airport for our flight home. A great holiday weekend, very relaxed and enjoyable. Would highly recommend Tucson as a place to visit. Back to work tomorrow....

Flight is currently delayed, stuck in Vegas with maintenance issues. We don't get into San Diego until after 9:30pm and still have to pick up the dog....
