The corner shop is not yet dead

In these days of malls and megamarkets it is encouraging that the corner shop has survived and still plays a vibrant part in suburban life. This is mine, the Lahore Stores, somewhat incongruously run by a Turkish family but, hey, that's very Longsight. We buy milk there most days and it also stocks beer and wine when needed.
